Freshman year of college is over.

Tomorrow everyone heads back home for the summer. That’s three months before you see anyone again. Those friendships you built across the semester... Those feelings you never found the right moment for… Those chances you let slip because you were too busy studying… It'll all be put on hold now.

You can’t wait that long.

You’re gonna make this the greatest night ever.

The Greatest Night Ever is a game for creating your own indie drama film!

Inspired by Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, Lady Bird, Can't Hardly Wait, Superbad, and more -- it's a road trip through four events, where secrets come out, feelings are discovered and tensions flare.

Use this guide to build flawed characters in transitionary stages of their lives. Then build a full movie of romance, comedy, and action. Make it more coming-of-age, more comedic, darker in tone -- whatever you choose!

REQUIRED TO PLAY:

  • 1-2 hours
  • 2 six-sided dice
  • Scratch paper for character notes
  • Recommended group of 3-6 players, but can be played solo.

DISCLAIMER:

  • Contains 14 half-sheet pages
  • This document is mostly prompts to create dynamic scenes and throw drama in your characters' way
  • It's full of romantic coincidences as I try to make things as awkward for your character as possible.
  • The game is partly a mish-mash of FIASCO and Alice Is Missing
  • Themes inside can be adult in nature, involving drinking, sex, and drugs
